2020 has been a whirlwind, hasn't it? It's changed so much about our lives but one important thing that hasn't changed is the love for the holidays and the craving for normalcy! No matter where I go in Charleston, SC, whether it be a quick trip into the Citadel Mall or a dinner at Swig & Swine, I see so many different masks designs! Who knew we would be complimenting someone's masks in the beginning of the year? No more hugs, either! The new thing is elbow bumps!
With all the changes that 2020 has brought us, I often get the question on how we're being safe and taking precautions with the times! Honestly? We took the sanitation pretty seriously before the pandemic and that hasn't changed! We create the magic of Christmas right here in the studio with families and then clean up right after! The safety of families is the upmost important thing to me. Plus, I don't want to get sick either! How do we ensure it's safe for you & your family? Find out below!
First we're by appointment only & those appointments are private! We lock the door to ensure no one is walking into the studio and families aren't coming into contact with each other. We've ALWAYS operated this way - but it's even more important now! We focus all of our attention on you & your family. Each family is greeted outside and we bring them inside after the last session has fully ended. The studio manager, Marti, even dresses up as an elf to greet you! Along with being private, we're completely sanitizing everything during and between appointments. Everything is wiped down when we're done & cleaned. The glassware, instruments, paint brushes. . . EVERYTHING! If it was touched, we're making sure it's clean. We don't reuse the milk & cookies, either! Milk that isn't used it dumped down the sink, the glasses are cleaned and dried, and new milk is put for the next session. Cookies that weren't eaten are thrown out (don't tell Santa!) & new ones are put on the plate. We do reach out to you before your appointment as well to make sure you're well and ready for your session. If someone reaches out they are sick - we reschedule. We aren't willing to put anyone at risk!!!!
